Story

1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee 440 Six Pack

For 1971, Dodge moved the Super Bee name onto the redesigned Charger. The one-year Charger Super Bee kept the value-performance formula: bold graphics, a blacked-out power-bulge hood, heavy-duty chassis equipment, and a standard 383 Magnum, with the 440 Six Pack available at the top of the engine list.

The optional 440 used three two-barrel carburetors and carried a 385-horsepower gross rating. Buyers could pair it with the heavy-duty TorqueFlite automatic or A833 four-speed. The cited production table reports 69 automatic and 30 four-speed Six Pack cars, for 99 total.

That rarity makes documentation more important than decoration. A V-code VIN, fender tag, broadcast sheet, drivetrain stampings, and correct induction hardware should agree before a car is represented as an original Six Pack. Super Bee stripes, hood graphics, or a later three-carburetor conversion cannot establish factory identity by themselves.

The gallery keeps those boundaries visible. Licensed Super Bee photos show the 1971 body and trim, a separate engine-family image shows 440 Six Pack induction, and the video follows an exact Six Pack four-speed car. Paint, trim, axle, and option combinations still need to be checked against each car's factory records.
