1967 Dodge Coronet R/T 426 Hemi
The Coronet R/T debuted for 1967 as Dodge's midsize performance model. The standard engine was the 440 Magnum, while the 426 Street Hemi was the headline option. In Hemi form, Dodge rated the dual-four-barrel V8 at 425 horsepower and 490 lb-ft, backed by either the A833 four-speed manual or 727 TorqueFlite automatic.
The R/T package was more than an engine callout. Dodge paired it with 11-inch drum brakes, extra-heavy-duty suspension, and R/T identification on the grille, rear panel, door panels, and glove box. Four-speed Hemi cars are associated with the heavy-duty Dana 60 axle; exact ratios and the automatic-car axle path still need a target-specific factory option chart before they can be presented as settled configuration data.
