Story
1984 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
The 1984 Firebird Trans Am family combined three-door four-passenger hatchback coupe with Trans Am, Trans Am with 5.0-liter H.O. V8, Trans Am with WS6 Special Performance Package configurations. This page keeps those factory choices together without treating an engine, stripe, badge, or trim package as a separate car identity.
Engines and transmissions
LG4 and L69 engines require different induction, transmission, emissions, axle, cooling, exhaust, and documentary evidence. Transmission, induction, cooling, exhaust, axle, emissions equipment, and dates must match the selected engine path.
Chassis and brakes
The WS6 path changed springs, bars, steering, wheels, tires, axle, and available brake equipment while remaining a configuration on the Trans Am page. Brake, steering, spring, damper, axle, ratio, wheel, and tire equipment varied by configuration and must be reconciled to factory and car-specific records.
Body, trim, and proof
Start with VIN or serial, body tag, title, shell, and ownership history. Then reconcile drivetrain, chassis, protected finish, cabin, trim, dates, and records. Replaceable badges, stripes, wheels, or a swapped engine cannot establish factory configuration.
