Notes
The September 15, 1966 factory AMA filing specifies the 390-4V GT calibration alongside the 289-2V and 390-2V Cyclone schedules. The independent short-long-arm front uses tilted upper control arms for anti-dive, ball joints, SAE 5160 coils with a 10.61-inch design height and 3.86-inch inside diameter, a 370 lb/in spring rate and 119 lb/in wheel rate, a linked .85-inch SAE 1090 stabilizer, and direct-acting rebound-cutoff Ford Autolite shocks with 1.18-inch pistons. The Hotchkiss rear uses asymmetrically mounted 58 x 2.5-inch four-leaf SAE 5160 semi-elliptic springs with rubber bushings, a 138 lb/in spring rate and 146 lb/in wheel rate, compression shackles, and no rear stabilizer or track bar.
