- Ford's November 6, 1961 high-performance AMA form applies to all Galaxie passenger cars except station wagons. It specifies 500 lb/in front coils, 130 lb/in at the wheel, and a 2,550-pound design load; a 0.62-inch linked front stabilizer is standard and 0.75 inch optional. Direct-acting front and rear shocks use 1 3/16-inch pistons. The rear schedule uses five 60 x 2.50-inch leaves at 140 lb/in, 135 lb/in at the wheel, and 955-pound design load, with no rear stabilizer or track bar. The form does not identify service part numbers or prove installation on an individual car.
