- AMC's 1967 data book identifies power front discs as a factory-installed extra-cost option on every V8 Rebel. Rebel applications use the new tandem-chamber Master-Vac power unit with a disc-calibrated tandem Double-Safety master cylinder and special brake fluid with a 550-degree-F minimum boiling point. These model-level details do not establish whether an individual SST was ordered with or retains its factory disc system.
