Story
2019 Buick Regal GS
Buick's 2019 brochure gives the GS 310 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 282 lb-ft of torque at 5200 rpm. Direct injection, a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive with an active twin clutch distinguish this application from the ordinary turbo-four Regal models.
Engine identity and displacement
GM's 2019 VIN reference identifies the 3.6-liter V6 as LGX. The factory LGX specifications in bulletin 17-NA-376 give a nominal 222 cubic inches, replacing the former 220-CID conversion from rounded liters. That bulletin introduces the 2018 model and is used here for engine-family geometry, not used as exact-2019 output certification. The output figures above come from the 2019 brochure itself.
Source limitations
The brochure capacities table labels the V6 as Turbo, unlike its feature table and the reviewed naturally aspirated application. This brochure inconsistency is retained explicitly; it does not establish an alternate turbocharged GS V6. Exact final-drive specification, complete option combinations and production totals remain unresolved. The retained licensed exterior does not authenticate an individual car's mechanical specification or originality.
