Story
2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE
For 2017, Camaro 1LE describes two distinct manual-transmission performance packages, not one shared engine specification. Chevrolet's U.S. performance table separates the 335-hp V6 1LE from the 455-hp SS 1LE. The V6 uses a 3.27:1 axle; the V8 uses a 3.73:1 axle. Their output ratings, brakes, tires and suspension equipment remain independently labeled here.
U.S. package applications
The October 7, 2016 U.S. order guide lists A1X V6 1LE on 1LS and 2LT coupes, not 1LT. Both require the LGX V6 and Jet Black interior; the U.S. brochure establishes the manual-only 1LE application. The RS package is excluded, and 2LT cannot combine 1LE with the 50th Anniversary Edition. A1Y SS 1LE is listed on 1SS coupe, requires the manual transmission and Jet Black interior, and excludes the power sunroof. Neither ordinary Camaro automatic options nor the separately named ZL1 program extend these 1LE applications.
The V6 package uses FE3 suspension and four-piston front Brembo brakes. SS 1LE uses FE4 with Magnetic Ride Control, an electronic limited-slip differential, six-piston front/four-piston rear Brembo brakes and wider tires. These are factory ordering descriptions, not a claim about the equipment on an individually inspected surviving car.
Source boundaries and photo pending
The Canadian factory performance table supplies the explicit LGX 3649 cc/222 cubic-inch and LT1 6162 cc/376 cubic-inch displacement cross-reference. U.S. sources control U.S. trim availability and package equipment. The regional brochures differ in some specification details; no Canadian chassis package or bore/stroke figure is substituted into this U.S. account. Performance test results, production totals and unverified equipment combinations are not inferred.
Factory documents are technical references, not reusable site photographs. An exact-year exterior photo remains pending, and collection membership is deferred until its image requirements are satisfied.
