The 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge 455 HO is the last Judge branch, and it needs to be read differently from the louder 1969 and 1970 cars. Pontiac still gave buyers the visual package people recognize: Judge graphics, rear spoiler, Rally II wheel context, Ram Air hood treatment, and Hurst shifter language. But for 1971 the important mechanical story is the low-compression, round-port 455 HO, not a carryover Ram Air III or Ram Air IV 400.
