Story

1970 Chevrolet Nova Yenko Deuce LT-1

The 1970 Chevrolet Nova Yenko Deuce LT-1 is the small-block counterpoint to the wilder 1969 Yenko 427 Nova. Instead of a dealer-installed 427 big-block, the Deuce used the high-revving LT-1 350 and a Yenko/COPO identity path. Checked registry and reference sources consistently report 175 cars, making production far clearer than the disputed 1969 Yenko Nova total.

The checked Deuce sources describe a car built around the LT-1, Yenko graphics, hood tach and gauge context, Atlas wheel context, F41 suspension context, power front disc-brake context, and 12-bolt Positraction rear-axle evidence. Transmission coverage is intentionally split: public references and auction archives show both Muncie four-speed and automatic cars, so this page does not collapse the model into a single driveline.

For enthusiasts, the important distinction is authenticity. A 1970 Nova, SS trim, Yenko stripes, hood tach, or small-block swap can be convincing visually. A real Yenko Deuce needs paperwork and matching evidence: COPO/Yenko records, dealer documents, body-tag and VIN context, engine and driveline stampings, restoration history, and registry or certification support. Exact-year Nova photos on this page are used only as body and trim context; the Yenko Deuce claim is carried by reviewed source records and reviewed evidence visuals.
