Story
1967 Plymouth Satellite
The 1967 Satellite was Plymouth's premium two-door B-body, offered as a hardtop and convertible. Its engine range extended from regular V8s through the 383 and the optional 425-hp 426 Street Hemi.
Powertrain
Manual, four-speed, and TorqueFlite paths required matching controls, cooling, and axle equipment. Hemi applications added distinct engine, induction, exhaust, cooling, suspension, brake, wheel, and axle requirements, including Dana 60 use where specified.
Chassis and body
Longitudinal torsion bars supported the independent front suspension and leaf springs located the live rear axle. Drum brakes were regular equipment; power assist and front discs varied by order and application.
Identity
Start with VIN, body tag, title, shell, and factory records. Reconcile engine, induction, transmission, axle, brakes, suspension, paint, upholstery, instruments, trim, dates, and ownership history. Satellite trim or Hemi hardware on another B-body cannot establish factory identity.
