Why It Matters
Pontiac assembled the Can Am's LeMans-based mechanical package and used Motortown Corporation for the shaker-hood conversion, rear spoiler, graphics, and identification before completed cars returned to Pontiac distribution. The program is tracked separately because loose appearance parts cannot establish factory-authorized Can Am identity.
