1955 Corvette Powerglide and three-speed transmission range

Why It Matters

The two-speed Powerglide served both engine families, while a three-speed manual became available late in the model year only with the 265 V8. Approximately 75 manual installations are reported. A factory-manual claim requires compatible V8 serial identity, GR engine suffix, build timing, transmission and linkage evidence, and documentation.
