- Notes
- Ford's AMA form lists 9.60 x 4.03-inch front coils at 400 lb/in with design loads of 2,225, 2,325, 2,425, or 2,550 lb according to engine and transmission schedule. Passenger cars use a 0.62-inch linked front stabilizer. The Starliner body falls in the standard two-door rear-spring column: three 60.0 x 2.50-inch leaves, 120 lb/in spring rate, 115 lb/in wheel rate, and 965 lb design load, with no rear stabilizer or track bar. Direct-acting front and rear shocks use 1.0-inch pistons; Ford specifies 1 3/16-inch pistons only for station-wagon and heavy-duty applications. The form does not provide service part numbers, and the equipment on an individual car still requires dated physical and documentary evidence.
