- Coil springs are made of silicomanganese steel (SAE 5160 or 9260), featuring a 9.84-inch design height and 4.05-inch inside diameter. Standard spring rate is 100 lb./in. (121 lb./in. at the wheel); optional heavy-duty, handling package, or air-conditioning-equipped models increase the spring rate to 115 lb./in. (136 lb./in. at the wheel).
