Notes
Ford's November 10, 1960 AMA high-performance supplement applies to all 1961 passenger-car models except station wagons. It specifies SAE 9260/5160 front coils with a 10.45 x 4.03-inch design size, 500 lb/in spring rate, 130 lb/in wheel rate, and 2,325- or 2,425-pound design load; an SAE 1090 linked front stabilizer is 0.62 inch standard with 0.75 inch optional. Direct-acting front and rear shocks use 1 3/16-inch pistons. The rear schedule uses five 60 x 2.50-inch semi-elliptic leaves at 140 lb/in, 135 lb/in at the wheel, and 1,015-pound design load, with no rear stabilizer or track bar. The form does not identify service part numbers or prove which equipment remains on an individual car.
