- Mercury's October 13, 1967 all-model AMA axle sheet specifies conventional semi-floating shafts, a straddle-mounted ring-gear pinion, optional Ford Equalock, 1.50- or 2.25-inch pinion offset and two or four differential pinions by engine family, shim pinion adjustment, a collapsible bearing spacer, sealed ball wheel bearings, four- or six-pint capacity, and SAE 90 lubricant. The sheet also lists 2.83 and 3.50 tooth combinations, but they are not represented here as MX applications because the verified MX power-team selector does not establish them.
