- Mercury's October 1, 1965 AMA sheet for Cyclone GT/GTA body models 63H and 76H with the 390-4V specifies self-adjusting, single-circuit Duo-Servo brakes with riveted molded-asbestos linings. It records 147.1 square inches effective lining area, 171.9 square inches gross lining area, 282.6 square inches swept drum area, 59.3 percent front effectiveness, a 1-inch master-cylinder bore, 6.55 inches available pedal travel, 760 psi line pressure at a 100-pound pedal load, and 0.015-inch shoe clearance. A Midland-Ross integral vacuum booster is listed, but this sheet does not establish front-disc availability or an individual car's original equipment.
