Story
2022 Ford Bronco Raptor
The Bronco Raptor broadens American performance beyond pavement. This page covers the first 2022 factory road program, not the Bronco DR race vehicle, Bronco Sport or a later tuned example.
Built for off-road performance
Ford paired a 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 with a 10-speed automatic and upgraded four-wheel-drive hardware. HOSS 4.0 suspension, FOX semi-active dampers and standard 37-inch KO2 tires distinguish the Raptor from an appearance package.
Ford initially announced a target above 400 hp. Its later factory calibration announcement records the stock baseline as 418 hp and 440 lb-ft for the 2022-2024 application. The optional upgrade's higher output is not the original 2022 specification.
Reading the photograph
UltraTech66 photographed and uploaded this Bronco Raptor at the Chicago Auto Show on February 12, 2022. The source title says 2023, but the organizer's contemporary debut roster explicitly identifies the 2022 Bronco Raptor. Together with Ford's launch documentation and the visible Raptor features, this supports using it as a representative of the 2022 launch program. This is a documented inference, not a model year inferred merely from the capture date.
The photograph shows a display vehicle with doors and roof removed. Its retail production status, VIN, hidden equipment and chassis originality are not authenticated. The source's original title remains in provenance. Production totals and original pricing remain unresolved.
