Story
2021 SSC Tuatara
SSC's 2021 coupe equipment sheet describes a two-seat, mid-engine car built around a carbon-fiber monocoque. Its paddle-operated gearbox is a robotized manual, not evidence of a conventional three-pedal manual option.
Source and configuration boundaries
The equipment sheet prints both 5.9 liters and 366 cubic inches. Those are not equivalent conversions; this record preserves the printed figures without claiming the discrepancy is resolved. The horsepower ratings depend on fuel, and the listed redline is not an output rpm.
SSC's May 2021 announcement distinguishes the original Tuatara from the higher-downforce Striker and track-only Aggressor. This record does not apply Aggressor power upgrades or Striker-specific aerodynamic figures to the standard car. The October 2021 fuel announcement is dated development history, not proof that every earlier vehicle had identical fuel capability. No contested or later top-speed claim is used here.
Evidence gaps and photo pending
Torque, exact axle details and displacement reconciliation remain open. The year binding comes from the manufacturer-branded 2021 equipment sheet, preserved by a third-party archive and corroborated by dated manufacturer releases; it is not an individual VIN inspection. Exact-year reusable exterior photography remains pending.
