Story
2020 Glickenhaus Boot
The Boot takes American performance into off-road terrain. Its exposed chassis, large tires and compact two-seat body make its purpose visible. Glickenhaus's March 2020 manufacturer filing identifies the two-door Boot as an open-body multipurpose passenger vehicle and supplies exterior photographs of that configuration. This page covers the 2020 two-door road-car program, not the original 1960s Baja Boot or a separately specified competition vehicle.
LT4 road-car application
HK Motorcars and Merlin Auto Group each document a 2020 two-door road example with a 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V8 rated at 650 hp and an automatic transmission. Those are direct dealer records, not a universal factory specification for every Boot. Merlin separately documents selectable two- and four-wheel drive and independent A-arm suspension. Dealer-listed off-road packages, wheels, tires and differential options remain specific to those examples.
Reading the evidence
The representative photograph shows a 2020 two-door Boot at the 2021 Lime Rock concours. The photographer corrected the model year using the event entry list. Number and sponsor decals remain visible; this photograph does not authenticate an individual chassis, engine calibration, originality or race history.
The manufacturer's model-specific filing takes precedence over a conflicting generic VIN-decoder result for identifying the Boot body program. The decoder's 005S model label and 750 hp figure are not used here. Exact Boot torque, automatic gear count, final-drive ratios, production totals and original pricing remain evidence gaps; Corvette specifications are not transferred merely because an LT4 is fitted.
