Story
2002 Chrysler 300M Special
The Special is a distinct production performance package, not an ordinary 300M with appearance modifications. Its high-output V6 and chassis equipment distinguish it from the base model; the earlier concept must not supply production specifications.
Evidence boundaries
Manufacturer heritage material corroborates the 2002 introduction. A clean NHTSA decode independently associates an example with Special trim and the EGK engine. Original road tests supply the equipment and performance specifications, with source attribution retained; reported ratings are not a dynamometer measurement performed here.
The displayed 215-CID designation follows the exact-model road test. The shared service table instead states 214 CID; its bore and stroke calculate to about 214.67 cubic inches. Preserve that distinction rather than silently rewriting either source. NHTSA's nominal-liter conversion is not an exact displacement measurement. Conflicting ride-height, weight and acceleration figures are omitted, and an announced production target is not treated as a verified total.
