2000 Lincoln LS V8 Sport
This approved target covers the V8 sedan with the Sport package, not the V6 manual. A period U.S. long-term test documents an actual V8 Sport car with a five-speed automatic. Manual gear selection through SelectShift does not make this a manual-transmission V8.
Evidence boundaries
MotorWeek corroborates the V8 output and distinguishes its V6 track car from the V8 driven at the introduction. The V6 acceleration and braking measurements are not assigned to this target. Lincoln's Canadian brochure supplies explicitly attributed output rpm and injection details; Canadian option availability is not presented as a U.S. equipment list.
The engine's 238-CID field is an approximate conversion of nominal 3.9 liters (3.9 × 61.0237, rounded), not an exact measured displacement or a factory CID designation. Exact displacement, engine code, axle ratio, generation boundaries, production totals and V8 test performance remain unasserted. The Canadian gross vehicle weight is not curb weight, and its Imperial-gallon capacity is not a U.S.-gallon figure.
