Story
1989 Chevrolet Turbo Sprint
GM's 1989 Metro/Sprint/Firefly specification package explicitly lists the Turbo Sprint. Its separate FDA turbo row supplies the powertrain figures used here. The Geo Metro title on the archive file is not a reason to substitute naturally aspirated Metro specifications.
Identity and application boundaries
The manufacturer form identifies Suzuki development and Japanese manufacture. This car remains within the already-approved North American marque/program scope; that does not mean it was built in the United States or establish U.S. retail availability. Exact market designation remains a source-refinement task. The two-door Turbo Sprint is kept distinct from the ordinary Sprint, Geo Metro and Pontiac Turbo Firefly.
Evidence and photo pending
The factory table's 61-CID and 1.0-liter designations are retained as printed. FDA is the code in the reviewed specification table; it is not asserted to be a VIN code or a substitute for an unverified engine-family designation. Production totals, performance-test results and exact market equipment remain unresolved. Reusable exact-year exterior photography is pending.
