1988 Chevrolet Spectrum Turbo
This approved North American Chevrolet program is documented as a four-door turbo notchback in the factory kit and the official 1988 EPA guide dataset. The Japan-built program remains within the existing approved ownership scope.
Identity and evidence limits
A sales listing labeled Turbo Hatchback illustrates a brochure spread captioned Spectrum Sport Coupe. That image does not establish turbo equipment. This record follows positive factory and government sedan evidence, without claiming that missing evidence proves no other body was ever offered.
Specifications and photo pending
The factory power table contains inconsistent horsepower/kilowatt values; output remains unresolved rather than silently corrected. Exact displacement and nominal factory CID are retained. Base Spectrum carburetion and optional automatic must not be assigned to the turbo. No later-year or other-market specifications are substituted. A reusable exact-year exterior photograph remains pending; research illustrations are not licensed site assets.
