Story
1983 Plymouth Turismo 2.2
Plymouth's U.S. literature identifies the Turismo 2.2 separately from the ordinary Turismo. Its engine table specifies 135 cubic inches and 2.2 liters; the CID here follows that factory designation rather than a conversion of rounded liters.
Configuration boundaries
The standard five-speed manual overdrive and optional three-speed automatic are listed for both 49-state and California versions. Other Turismo engines and Scamp equipment are not specifications for this trim. Electronic fuel control does not by itself establish fuel injection or turbocharging.
Evidence gaps and photo pending
Exact horsepower, torque, fuel-metering hardware and final-drive ratio remain unresolved. No absolute output is inferred from the brochure's relative performance claims. An exact-year exterior photo with verified reuse rights is still being sought; the brochure scans are research evidence only.
